Hi, I'm Mark, I'm based in Fife, Scotland and live with my wife and two young boys.

I've always been a creative person. I can't say exactly when, but I got my first video camera for Christmas when I was around 10. Fortunately (mainly for me and my pre-broken voice), those early videos have been lost. My skills have vastly improved since then but the passion remains. Making videos throughout my teens was a keen hobby, joined by strong interests in photography and writing music. A-levels in photography and media followed but the reality that work was a necessary evil rather than something you could enjoy had set in.

What followed was a 16 year period in the corporate world. In short, I hated it; I was a square peg in a round hole forcing myself to be someone I'm not. My creative endeavours were maintained in my spare time but in 2022 our world completely changed with the birth of our first son. Just 16 months later our second son arrived and the spare time I had to maintain my hobbies was suddenly eroded. 

Over the years, thoughts of trying to make a career out of my hobbies became more and more regular, until October 2025 where two things hit me. Firstly, I realised that I could not live with the idea that my boys would grow up with the same bleak outlook I had; I wanted to show them that if you work hard, you can live a life doing the things you love. Secondly, I had the first idea for MP Films.

So here I am, taking a massive leap of faith, determined to make it work. Whilst I don't currently have a broad portfolio of work for you to look through, what I can promise is that I will work harder than anyone to provide you with a film you can be thoroughly proud of.
